We collect and use your device’s location data, both in the foreground (while the app is open) and in the background (when the app is minimized or not actively in use), strictly for the following purposes:
Ride-hailing services: To allow drivers and riders to be accurately matched, navigate to pickup/drop-off points, and ensure continuous ride tracking.
Safety and support: To provide emergency support, accurate ETA, trip progress updates, and ensure driver/rider accountability.
Service improvements: To optimize routing, reduce waiting times, and improve overall transportation efficiency.
Data Integrity and Safety:
Location data is transmitted securely using encryption.
Location access is only active during ongoing rides or service use — we do not continuously track your location outside the scope of ride services.
Users can manage and revoke location permissions at any time through their device settings.
We do not sell or misuse location data. It is only shared when required to deliver the core functionality of our services, under strict confidentiality.

Data Deletion Request
You have the right to request the deletion of your personal data. To initiate a deletion request, please send a formal email to business@chaloo.com.pk from the email address associated with your Chaloo Technologies account, clearly stating your request for data deletion.
Data Deletion Process and Timeline:
Verification: Upon receiving your request, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity to ensure the request is legitimate and to protect your data from unauthorized deletion.
Processing: Once your identity is successfully verified, your personal data will be permanently removed from our active systems and databases.
Timeline: We aim to complete the deletion process from our active systems within 30 business days of successful identity verification.
Retention for Legal/Backup Purposes: Please be aware that some data may be retained for a longer period in our backup systems, archives, or as required by law, for regulatory compliance, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or to fulfill contractual obligations. Such data will be securely isolated and eventually deleted in accordance with our established data retention policies, usually after a period that ensures compliance with all applicable regulations.
